There is a duck that has a fishing lure stuck to its leg. A big lure. : (
I discovered it the other night and tonight I am going to have some help from someone who is a bird rehabilitator.

Somehow we are going to catch this duck, and she is going to pry the lure off his leg and tend to its wounds. It shall be fun!

I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those rotten kids and that stoner dog!
ONE IS NAMED "MEEP"!
I really think it may show up on next year's Top Ten Baby Names list. Both boys and girls.

Well, I thought I would have a progress report by now. But I don't.

That duck egg thing is slightly disturbing to me for some reason. WE ARE EATING UNBORN DUCKS AND CHICKENS!

And why are duck eggs sold? Is there a reason to cook with them? Eat them? WHY?!

I know people eat them. They might have a higher fat content?

All kinds of eggs are sold - quail, ostrich...

Even caviar are fish eggs.

I'm going to scramble some right now. : (
And adding cheese. Maybe some onion. Hell it might turn out to be an omlet.

I wouldn't want to eat a baby duck.

Me either.

So Good News! Duck Rescue Mission succesful! I will post on twitter for those not on FB.

It took a family with a fishing net to catch the duck and get the hooks out of his leg. I will visit him again tomorrow and this week to see that he is doing well.

: )

I checked in on him today. He is swimming around now and he was sitting in the grass. I got some "duck" (Its actually chicken) food from the store today and fed him and mamma duck and babies.
He is limping on the leg. His leg might not be back to normal ever. Not sure. But I will keep feeding him for now.
